Looking for God in All the Wrong Places

Looking for God in All the Wrong Places

“An Appeal for Word-Based Corporate Worship”

Publisher – Hartsville: Tulip Books, 2006

Author – Robert G. Spinney

Grace Baptist Church in Hartsville, Tennessee provides the full text of this 29-page pamphlet.   I quoted Spinney’s opening paragraph in a recent Sunday morning sermon where I preached about us being “Keepers of the words” (Revelation 22).  It is Jesus Himself who tells us to be word-based.

Go ahead. Read Spinney’s appeal.  It’s refreshing.  And let our local churches be places where we “Read the Bible, preach the Bible, sing the Bible, pray the Bible, and see the Bible.”
