This sculpture of Billy, Old Dan, and Little Ann stands in front of the Idaho Falls Public Library.  Where the Red Fern Grows is famous in Idaho Falls.  I just finished reading it with my boy, Micaiah.

I enjoyed the book except for this one quote:

I remembered a passage from the Bible my mother had read to us: “God helps those who help themselves.”
